DID YOU KNOW

That the Woman's Foreign Mission Society was formed in Boston in 1869! And, that we know the Brockport church had a local society in January, 1917 (the minutes for this meeting refer to it as a regular meeting); however, we have no earlier written records. These women met monthly with speakers, programs, and devotional time. They raised money for missionaries in India, Liberia and helped to support two orphans in France and often made payments to purchase a bundle of supplies for medical mission work. Their gifts of one cent per day to their mite-boxes, their participation with the other women in the Rochester area and their money raising projects were supported by many devoted women.
