Pastor Thevanesan traveled to Sri Lanka in February 2005 to bring help, hope and spiritual strength.

He offered special comfort to the clergy during his two week there. The pastor's visit focused on the communities of Batticaloa and Kalmunai on Sri Lanka east coast.

Thevanesan saw physical destruction everywhere. He reconnected with an orphanage in Tirukkovil, south of Kalmunai. The same destruction created more orphans.

He has been speaking to community, students and religious groups about his trip. So far our church has been helping the orphanage and families too.
